What was I thinking?!?!

When I posted last year that I was going to post at least monthly or was it weekly?? Can't remember... Yes, been that long! I should have known that I was jinxing myself! Silly me!!

I have been encouraged to get blogging and I am setting out to do just that! I have so many fun life changes and each day brings new challenges and a little bit of craziness. Still fun though... for the most part. I want to share my joy's with my family and share the things that I have been working on. A little bit of crafts thrown in with my little journey called life!

And... why not start it on Easter Sunday no doubt! Just because I am cooking dinner for family and friends... just got the deviled eggs done, ham is in the oven and I even made rolls before church! My kids keep asking me to make bread again... doesn't this count?? It's all bread and equally fattening... right?

Just have to warn whoever reads this that I use a ton of exclamation points... on almost every sentence. That's just how I talk! Lots of noise!! Read this like you are hearing me talk your ear off and I'm sorry... you can only listen unless you leave a comment.... LOL!!

Here is a picture from today... such little darlings! For the most part... love them!!

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong!! Really... they just let anyone walk in off the street and purchase a computer without knowing that they can really know how to use it??? Oh well... enjoy the pictures. I really have to learn how to get them in order!! Maybe next time!!

My son with his catch!! Preparing his meal with his Dad!! They said it was excellent!! :)
I'm embarassed at just how long it's been since I posted to my blog. Designing like crazy and just had to let something slip... unfortuneatly this was it. I am finally adding a post. My darling son got invited to go fishing with some friends over the weekend. He has been several times since getting his own pole, several years ago, but, has never caught a dang thing. Well, all of that changed and he caught 6... yes, 6 fish!! He had to throw one back because it was a little small. I am so grateful to them for taking him. He had a great time... and even though it rained like crazy on them... he came home with a huge smile on his face!! We looked up a recipe online and my two guys dressed and cooked the fish on the grill. Lucky for me... it didn't smell up the house. They ate the fish and said it was so delicious!! I will just take their word for it!!

What did you do ALL day??

So my sister calls me Wednesday and says "I bought you 2 bushells of peaches are you so EXCITED??" Well heck yeah I am!!! So then when my husband comes home and asks that all too nasty question I just point to the mountain of peaches and say... THAT!! I must admit I really love to can! I know that is a little crazy... I remember my MOM saying how wonderful it is to look at a counter full of beautifully canned peaches. I take pride in the same thing!! Everytime I put a peach in a jar I think of her telling us to make sure the pretty side of the peach is the only side you see. I canned for 2 days straight and stayed up way too late to get the job done!! I was a little mean to my family, but, don't they know I am only doing this for their own good??? Maybe they will think of me and the hard work I put forth on their behalf when they savor each bite of their canned peaches!! YEAH RIGHT!! At least I have the satisfaction of it all... I canned 28 quarts of peaches, 9 quarts of jam and 5 gallon size bags in the freezer for our Orange Julius on Saturday mornings. Now I want to get my kitchen cleaned... especially the sticky floor and just enjoy until tomatoes. I really want to get brave and do some pickles and some other more intense canning but, that might have to wait until I don't have to take care of a baby and only can when everyone is in bed. Maybe in a few short years she can help me and I can pass on to her what my Mom passed on to me. Thanks Mom for my desire to cook, sew and raise a family!! (did you notice I didn't say clean in there??)

Love getting CREATIVE!!

So I got invited to create some samples for Imaginisce. YIPEE!!! I love getting product and getting told to go crazy and develop some fun things!!! Here is what I came up with...using their NEW Sweet Cheri Line. I think they turned out cute and I am very happy with them... even if I do say so myself!! I love the mixture of colors and that they worked so well for my boy's photos. I just love the one of me getting a kiss from my handsome little guy! He is so sweet!! When I get the samples back I will post more about them with a few photos of the inside of the album!! I'm so happy with how everything turned out... Thanks Imaginisce for giving me a chance!!
I made this 6X6 mini album, a photo card and a single page layout. OK so the photo card makes me cry when I look at it. This is my son and his best friend that had to leave us before we were ready!! LOVE YOU ASHLIE!!

Crazy HUH!!

Well, I am trying to stay on my target of blogging once a week. Can I just say... I'm loving life right now. My middle son just started Kindergarten this week. He has only gone 2 days but, what a change. He is growing so fast and I am just wondering where the time has gone. Now he gets on the bus and doesn't look back... He is missing the look of shock and sadness on my face as he runs to get on the bus. I, on the other hand stood there feeling a little rejected.... that is until I went back into the house and was greeted by a tooth filled little smile and bright eyes looking just for ME!! I love being a MOM. I love it. I love it. I love it. (OK I do have my moments that I love it, just not like it, but then you get a little extra something from a little someone and it all is right in the world once again.)

I am sewing up a storm and will post photos of my work... but, I feel like I am getting reacquainted with a few old friends... my sewing machines. It just feels so good to create something. And, I am embarrassed to say that I am just now getting the dang bumper pads done for my baby's crib!!

Well, I did my post. Oh happy day!!!
